Dr Gareth Roberts is an approachable and enthusiastic Consultant in Respiratory Medicine with over 14 years experience treating respiratory problems.
He offers private consultations with patients at hospitals in the Berkshire/Buckinghamshire area west of London.
Dr Roberts private clinics operate alongside his busy NHS post at Wexham Park Hospital, part of the newly formed Frimley Health Foundation Trust.

Dr Roberts was involved in management of Interstitial Lung Disease as part of a multidisciplinary team and gained further experience in endobronchial ultrasound and interventional bronchoscopy. He was also part of a team caring for patients with complex bronchiectasis. Part of his clinical work involved research into obesity related sleep disorders.
Whittington Hospital, London
Dr Roberts took part in the implementation of a BTS Pneumonia Care Bundle and helped design and deliver a new pleural service.
Hillingdon Hospital, London
Dr Roberts spent a year working in a programme supported by the Kings Fund and Manchester Business School to gain experience in hospital trust management and healthcare provision.
Royal London Hospital
Dr Roberts focused on adult cystic fibrosis medicine for some of his time at the Royal London. The remainder was spent coordinating the meetings of the Lung Cancer MDT and running specialist clinics, including allergy clinics.
Registrar and Senior House Office posts
Dr Roberts gained experience of caring for patients in the intensive care unit and the liver transplant unit and worked in the Infectious Disease department working with patients affected by the complications of HIV infection at North Middlesex Hospital, London.
He also spent four years completing rotation posts as part of his post-clinical training at several London hospitals including the Hillingdon Hospital, The Royal Brompton, Northwick Park Hospital and Kings College Hospital.
Clinical training
Dr Roberts studied medicine at the University of London, gaining his MBBS from Imperial College School of Medicine at St Mary’s London in 2001.
He became a Member of the Royal College of Physicians in 2006 and is a member of the British Thoracic Society.
Dr Roberts also holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Health Management and Leadership from the University of Manchester Business School, awarded in 2012.
